V Athisayaraj Davidson

Athisayaraj Davidson is a right-arm medium-pacer with the ability to hurry the batsmen up despite only bowling medium pace. He is a skiddy bowler with a decent height to get steep bounce and cramp the batsman up with alarming consistency - something of a poor man's Joel Garner. He has worked as a partnership-breaker in List A cricket, at least in the limited number of games he has played, and has also featured regularly in the Tamil Nadu Premier League where he took a fantastic 5-wicket haul to immediately catch the eye of the IPL franchises. However, in the IPL auction, Davidson was left out and remained unsold in the 2018 edition despite a relatively low base price of INR 20 lakh - rather unfortunate, given that he is a gifted player in T20s, with the ability to stifle the runs, which shows in his miserly economy rate of 7.73 in T20s.
