That's a wrap. Another double-header coming up tomorrow. Do join us for those games. Until next time, goodbye and stay safe..

Abhishek Tanwar | Salem captain: We are all upset. There was only one team which came to the ground today, we did not. We played very bad, reckless cricket. Overall we are playing decent cricket but we are not finishing well.

Gurjapneet Singh | Player of the Match: Really happy to come back again and be able to bowl, happy for that. I am improving day by day. I am okay with any conditions, I am ready to bowl whenever the skipper wants. I am just working on my skills. Two points was important for us and now need to take it forward.

22:06 Local Time, 16:36 GMT: The result was almost decided when Salem Spartans were rolled over for 98. The only way for Madurai Panthers to lose was if there was some extraordinary bowling from the Spartans, but that was not the case. They picked up a couple of wickets in the powerplay and looked energetic in the field, but once runs started to flow indisciplined creeped in as well. They gave away 15 extras and that is not acceptable while defending a mere 98. Abisek and Swapnil Singh added an unbeaten 44-run stand for the fourth wicket and sealed the victory. It is the first win for the Panthers and they're up and running on the points board. Presentations coming up..
