That's all from here for the night. Tomorrow we have the first double-header of this season and a certain number one ranked bowler in the current ICC Test rankings is going to play for Dindigul. So do join us then. For now it's good night and sleep tight.

Narayan Jagadeesan | CSG captain: I was happy when they told me that I was going to be the captain, it would only help me with more responsibility. The way Pradosh played was superb, the way he got into positions today and was hitting the ball was a treat to watch. We just focus on what we have to execute, all the other contributions, the small ones helped. Even though there is a lot of experience, the players are willing to adapt to the needs of the team and that's what is heart-warming.

Abhishek Tanwar | Salem captain: I have to take the blame for the last over - four no-balls being a senior bowler was disappointing. The wind did not help as it played a huge role. We have planned that way as we have a lot of openers and there is confusion because of that, but after this game we should have that sorted [on sending Kaushik Gandhi at 5].

Pradosh Ranjan Paul | Player of the Match: I personally enjoyed the knock, it's a new franchise, have to thank the senior players and the coach. Playing Ranji helped and making a mark over there. Last 3 months I have been working on my T20 game, I focus on my strengths and back my abilities. Have played with Jaggi before and it's nice to bat with him.

Rahil Shah: Fantastic playing here. We are practicing hard and it has come out well. It is a good bunch of lads, under Jaggi and Hemang Badani. We are gelling well. Our plans were simple, we had to bowl to our strengths. Spin is going to be our strength for this tournament, hopefully the fast bowlers can also come in and do their job. The pitch remained the same for 40 overs, it was about varying the pace for us.

22:46 Local Time, 17:16 GMT, 22:46 IST: CSG begin their campaign in style. They have defended 217 quite emphatically. The Salem openers were slow to start off and were well behind the asking rate. Kaushik Gandhi who is an opener was sent in as 5 and he too couldn't do much. Only a blitzing cameo from Adnan Khan saved Salem further embarrassment. CSG were professional and despite a couple of drops early on, took all their catches and fielded quite well to close out things. Stay tuned for the presentation...
