India bagged yet another bilateral rubber at home defeating New Zealand by a record margin to keep the visitors waiting for their maiden series win on Indian soil. Gujarat Titans duo of Shubman Gill (126* off 63) and skipper Hardik Pandya (30 off 17 and 4-16) dominated New Zealand in the decider of the closely fought series.

Stats highlights from the third T20I in Ahmedabad:

5 - Gill became the fifth Indian batter to complete the set of hundreds across all three formats after Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. At 23 years & 146 days, Gill became the second youngest player from any team to complete the triple after Ahmed Shehzad who was just 22 years & 127 days when he achieved the feat in 2014.

126* by Gill is the highest individual score for India in T20 Internationals, surpassing 122* by Virat Kohli against Afghanistan in Dubai in last year's Asia Cup. He is also the youngest Indian batter to score a T20I century surpassing the previous record held by Suresh Raina who was aged 23 years & 156 days when he scored 101 in World T20 2010.

1 - Gill now has the highest individual score for a player against New Zealand in T20Is bettering Richard Levi's unbeaten 117 in Hamilton in 2012. Last month, Gill became the first player to score a double century against them in ODI cricket.

10 - India have lost the first match of a bilateral T20I rubber (minimum three games) on ten occasions. This was the seventh time they ended up winning series despite trailing 0-1 while two ended in stalemates (the only defeat came in New Zealand in 2019).

168 runs - The biggest margin of win in a T20I between two Full Member sides. The previous biggest such margin was 143 run wins each for India against Ireland in Dublin in 2018 and Pakistan against West Indies in Karachi in 2018. The only bigger win for a Full Member team in any T20I is Sri Lanka's 172 run win against Kenya in Johannesburg in World T20 in 2007.
