The current skipper of Nagaland, Jonathan is a right-hand batsman who was born in Umaga, Nagaland but his family shifted to Bangalore in 1997 and that is where his passion for cricket started. He was employed with Railways and played league cricket in Bangalore.
Jonathan first burst onto the scene in the Karnataka Premier League in 2009 and displayed some eye-catching performances. He attended trails for Railways and was selected for the Ranji Trophy in 2013. Jonathan was batting lower down the order and that didn't augur well for him. With Nagaland board gaining BCCI's approval in 2018, Jonathan was named the skipper of the team for the season.
