A lanky Yorkshire lad, Oliver Hannon-Dalby, made headlines at the age of 18 when he removed one of England's renowned batsman Mark Ramprakash in a County game against Surrey in 2008. The aftermath of that brief moment of joy, however, didn't last long as he had to wait for nearly 2 years to get another game with Yorkshire. He claimed fifers against Warwickshire and Somerset in 2010 but failed to cement his place in the side in the following seasons as Yorkshire offered to release him at the end of 2012.

With his imposing height, Olly can generate extra bounce and can be a tricky customer at the death. He has a variety of slower balls and a decent bumper which caught the attention of Warwickshire who signed him as a key part of their limited overs plan ahead of the 2013 season. Soon after his signing, Olly batted with a broken arm for 78-minutes to save a game against Somerset at Taunton, a miracle that is still talked about in the County circles.

2014 will be a year that Olly will never forget as he steered Warwickshire to the Royal London One-Day Cup finals whilst playing a key role in the club's T20 Blast triumph in the same year.
