That's the end of the first game. Ashwin has arrived for Dindigul and they will be up against Trichy. Game will begin shortly. Hop tabs to catch us there. Goodbye!

Arun Karthik | Nellai captain: I am not sure if we bowled well or they batted badly. Definitely some help for the bowlers but it was still a good pitch. Wind was a factor too. Initially the fast bowlers seem to be the right ploy and bringing spin on after 4-5 overs would be ideal on this pitch. This win is special because Madurai is a very good side and to beat them convincingly feels good and I am sure they will bounce back. We are young side, hopefully we will do well in the tournament.

Hari Nishanth | Madurai captain: Somehow we never got partnerships. Still I need some character from the boys and I will talk to them. We missed those partnerships. We can't be playing catch up game in a short tournament like this. J Kousik can come up and definitely do well. We could have dragged this 127 target a bit in our defence.

Mohan Prasath | PoTM: It's important to take wickets in key moments, handle pressure and execute well. Certain balls held onto the pitch, the captain trusted me and I did well. When I tried to flight I did get help. I usually bowl quicker through the air.

18:16 Local Time, 12:46 GMT, 18:16 IST: What a thumping win this is for Nellai. They did the best part with the ball by squeezing Madurai for a below-par total and then Arun Karthik gave a blitz start to kill the required rate. Nidhish also put his hand up to ensure Madurai never got back into the contest. Hari Nishanth held one end in the first innings for Madurai, but they couldn't get a sizeable total.
