Afghanistan Cricket Board included Nijat Masood in the upcoming two-match T20I series against Bangladesh in place of injured Naveen-ul-Haq.

Naveen will travel to England for treatment and is expected to undergo a minor surgery under the care of an orthopedic specialist for his knee injury.

"He (Naveen) is expected to be out for two months," Asadullah Khan, Afghanistan Cricket Boards chief selector, told Cricbuzz on Saturday (July 8). "We have replaced Naveen with Nijat as we opted for a pace bowler for a pace bowler and we feel he is carrying a good form."

Following the ongoing three-match ODI series, both teams will travel to Sylhet for two T20I matches scheduled respectively July 14 and 16 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
