That's all from this TNPL clash folks! We'll be back tomorrow for the live coverage of the contest between Salem Spartans and Lyca Kovai Kings. For now, it's a goodbye from Saurabh, Nikhil, Siva and Naveen. Ciao!

Hari Nishanth: We batted ugly, but the bowlers all stepped up. Everything boosted us. We weren’t sure of our combinations on where Washi should have batted, but I personally feel that he should be there through the end. Feels good that my decision was vindicated today. Due to the impact rule, we can go hard and play an extra batter, that’s why Saravanan plays so low. We were prepared well, the boys have practiced well and today we delivered. Credit to Ajay and Gurjan. We need to sort out our powerplay batting, and then we are good to go. A special mention to Murugan Ashwin, he is playing despite having a fracture. He was eager to continue playing, because if he takes a break now it will be 3-4 weeks before he can be back with us. That’s why we played him as an impact sub and used him only at short fine and short mid-wicket. Wanted to keep the ball away from him as much as possible.

N Jagadeeshan: Our bowling department was wrong in the death. And similarly our batters were in a good position but we messed it up. We were no loss in the powerplay and going well, the middle order could have applied themselves better. We didn’t show enough intent today. Aparajith has been a one man show, he’s been doing it with the bat and ball. We need to step up as a batting unit. We still have another match, we need to play hard.

Ajay Krishna | Player of the Match: Feels surreal, all credits to team and management who supported me throughout my journey. Thank God I was able to deliver. The captain had a plan, the wicket was a bit slower so he told me to go for my strengths. I wasn’t nervous, because my entire team was backing me. Want to dedicate this award to the coach and captain.

Murugan Ashwin: (On Ajay Krishna) He has a very good ethic, and the way he bowled the 19th over set the game for us. The way Ajay bowled, we knew Gurjan would do the job for us. Washi (Sundar) was brilliant, he gave us the momentum we needed for the second innings. Two wins in a row now, this is exactly the momentum we needed for the tournament. I really like the vibe of Salem, have done well here and hopefully we can continue.

22:36 Local Time, 17:06 GMT, 22:36 IST: What a turnaround for Siechem Madurai Panthers. They were 50/6 at one point, but to reach 141/7 from there, got to say it was a commendable effort. It was Washington Sundar's knock of 56*(30) that helped them get there, and Madurai bowlers made sure his effort wasn't in vain. Chepauk's top three chipped in with handy contributions, but they were not enough to get them over the line. Ajay Krishna with 4 wickets and Murugan Ashwin with 3 wickets were the best of the bowlers. Stay around for the presentations..

Ajay Krishna to Ramalingam Rohit, out Caught by Lokeshwar!! What an over! Can well prove to be the math defining over. This was full and wide outside off and it shaped away ever so slightly. Ramalingam Rohit has a swing at it, and gets a thick outside edge that has been taken by the keeper. Madurai on top! Don't think I would say that after watching the first 30 minutes of this particular match. Ramalingam Rohit c Lokeshwar b Ajay Krishna 0(2)
