4,4,4,4,4 and then a win

Wow!! This man went bonkers towards the end. Pant took on Willey to hit him for five consecutive boundaries and then sealed the win with a reverse sweep in the next over. He finishes unbeaten on 125 off just 112 balls. What a win for India. They were 74/4 before Pant and Hardik rescued them. India have now sealed the ODI series 2-1.

What a player

It's quite surprising that this is his first ODI hundred but he doesn't get to play in this format a lot. He has made the most of this opportunity alright. He gets to his century and now India are on the brink.

Excellent catch

Wow, out of nowhere, Ben Stokes has given England a new lease of life. Hardik miscues a pull shot and Stokes who is near the edge of the cirlce dives full length to take a catch. Superb take!! India finally lose their fifth wicket as the century stand ends. They need 55 more runs now.

Rishabh is rocking

Wow, Pant is on the charge. He is well set now and wants to absolutely destroy England. He takes on Craig Overton by first slapping him for a boundary and follows it up by coming down the track to the pacer and smashing him over his head for a six. He has overtaken Hardik.

Century partnership

This is outstanding batting by these two. They are content playing out dot deliveries but when there is an opportunity to fetch a boundary, they are not missing it. Pant has just smashed Stokes for a couple of boundaries and the partnership has gone past 100. India need 81 now and they are the favourites.

Fifties for the duo

Hardik first gets to his half-century and Pant follows suit. India are coasting here. England badly need a wicket to get back into this contest with these two batsmen looking very comfortable.

Pant-Hardik revive chase

Hardik has been the aggressor while Pant has been quite watchful. Pant also received a reprieve so that might have made him a bit cautious but that would do for now. These two have added more than 50 now and India would want them to continue this good work.

SKY departs

Overton has struck and that's another killer blow for India as they lose their fourth wicket. Craig Overton gets a bit of extra bounce and that does the trick as Suryakumar Yadav fails in his attempt to guide it down to third man. He only manages an outside edge and the catch is taken by the keeper. India are 4 down already.

Huge disappointment

Well, he looked good once again but has flattered to deceive. Been the story for a while now as Topley absolutely rips through the Indian top order. After picking six in the previous game, the left-armer has already picked three already here. This was bowled just outside off and Kohli nicks it behind. Indian fans are gutted as Virat walks back for 17. India in trouble now.

Topley strikes again

Wow, he is in some form, isn't he? Reece Topley does more damage as Rohit Sharma falls. This was a nice teaser just outside off as Rohit pushes and edges it behind to the lone slip fielder. Rishabh Pant is promoted to number 4 ahead of Suryakumar Yadav.

Dhawan falls early

England strike early and guess who? It's Reece Topley again as he removes Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan drove a full delivery but couldn't keep it down and Roy takes the catch at backward point. Virat Kohli is in. The world will be watching.

Chahal ends it

He has taken a beating but Chahal picks up the final two wickets in the same over to end England's innings. He has polished off the tail here to finish with three wickets. England are 259 all out. India need 260 to win the series. They will fancy themselves to get this done but they would also be wary of what happened in the previous game.

Willey departs

He was beginning to find a boundary an over but Chahal returns to the attack and puts an end to the cameo with a slower one. Slow and outside off, Willey tries to loft and finds SKY at long-off.

Hardik dents England

Wow, he has turned this game in a matter of three deliveries. And to be honest, even though the wickets were bagged by Hardik, Jadeja has to get the credit. Both Livingstone and Buttler depart as they look to take on the bowler and get caught by Jadeja in the deep. England may not bat out the entire 50 overs now at this rate having lost their important batters.

50 for Jos

Crucial fifty from the England skipper as he holds this innings together. With more than 17 overs left in the innings and England already half down, Buttler will have to bat deep.

Moeen falls

Unlucky!! Moeen falls as he edges one down the leg side off Jadeja. The left-arm spinner strikes in his very first over and India needed this wicket as this partnership was flourishing. Livingstone comes out now.

The revival

Buttler and Moeen have bided their time but now they are slowly getting into their groove. They have added more than 50 now but it's not enough for England. They need these two to carry on.

England 4 down

Hardik strikes again. He sees Stokes come down the track and bowls a short delivery. Stokes is in no position to play it with authority. It hits the upper part of the bat and lobs up in the air and Hardik takes the catch. England are in deep trouble now. Hardik has already bowled two wicket maidens.

Hardik strikes

Excellent from the allrounder. He kept denying Roy the room he usually craves for and that results in the wicket. A short ball, once again without any room, does the trick as Roy only gets a top edge in his attempt to smash it. Pant takes the catch as India now have their third wicket.

Excellent counterattack

Now, this is the England we know. Unfazed by that double strike, Roy and Stokes are launching an assault here with a flurry of boundaries. And in no time, they race to 59/2 after just 8 overs. Roy is on 35 already off 21 balls.

Make it two in two

India are on top already. It's taken Siraj just six balls to make a huge impact here in the decider. He brings in to Root with the angle but the ball leaves him a touch after pitching to catch him off guard as it takes the outside edge to the slip fielder. Another batsman walks back to the pavilion for a duck. England are in trouble early.

Early wicket

Roy might have fetched three fours right at the start but India have struck at the other end just nine balls into the game. Siraj, who has returned to the XI, makes an impact straightaway as Bairstow is gone for a duck. He gets a leading edge while attempting to work one on the leg side and the substitute Shreyas Iyer takes an easy catch. Joe Root is in early.

What a start

Just what Jason Roy wanted after those low scores. Shami is searching for swing but he isn't finding any and Roy has punished him for three boundaries in the very first over as a result.

Toss -India opt to bowl

Rohit Sharma wants to put the England batters under pressure again. They haven't clicked so far so the Indian skipper is banking on them to fail for the third straight time. However, India do not have their trumpcard today. Jasprit Bumrah is out with a niggle and has been replaced by Mohammed Siraj. England are unchanged.

Teams:

England (Playing XI): Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler(w/c), Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Craig Overton, David Willey, Brydon Carse, Reece Topley

India (Playing XI): Rohit Sharma(c), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant(w), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Prasidh Krishna

Build up

Once India demolished England in that first ODI not so long ago, not many expected England to stage a grand comeback in a short period of time. Their bowlers did a stupendous job once the batting lineup failed to put up a big score again. Despite impressing in the T20I series, India's batsmen couldn't light up the venue in a run chase of 247 and were brushed aside with ease.

Even though most of them had a dull outing, the focus was once again on Virat Kohli. There has been a lot of talk about his form off late and skipper Rohit Sharma did pounce to his defence quickly. Kohli has been receiving plenty of support from all corners of the cricketing world so don't be surprised if the spotlight is once again on him even though this is the series decider.

It's not just Kohli who will have to deliver though in this contest. Both teams have big names in their batting lineup and both teams would dearly love it if those players can step up in this crucial encounter. England's famed batting unit haven't been able to go for the kill in the two games so far. The white ball has swung in this series and more of the same would present a challenge to the batting units. Welcome to the live blog for this third and final ODI of the series. No matter who wins this one, let's hope they hand us a thriller.
