Profile
Wicket-keeper/ batsman Lewis Hill made his first-class debut against Kent in May 2015. Playing his first innings for Leicestershire, Hill notched up an impressive fifty at Canterbury. He signed his professional contract with Leicestershire in 2014, and since then, the youngster has played a number of pivotal knocks for the county - in white ball, as well as red-ball cricket.

Matthew Boyce injured himself in practice before the match against Surrey, and Hill who was his replacement - scored a terrific century at the Oval. It was just his second first-class match and Hill was delighted after he brought up his maiden first-class century. Having played regularly thereafter, his wicket-keeping skills only got better and every now and then, the 'keeper-batsman got into the habit of playing decisive knocks. Before joining Leicestershire, Hill has played for a number of clubs and has been an unswerving performer right from his teenage days. In 2018, as a keeper, Hill claimed 29 catches in the County Championship and added some precious runs at the same time.

In the NatWest T20 Blast too, Hill has played few match-winning knocks batting in the top-order. Hill had a strike rate of 150 during the 2016 season, while he averaged almost 40. His ability to deal with it quality bowling attacks in pressure situations and hitting big in the shortest format make him a resourceful player.
