Profile
An Englishman by birth, Josh Inglis is an extremely talented wicketkeeper batsman who has been spotted after his selection at the Australian National Performance Squad. He has caught the eye of all those who have watched him play due to his sharp glovework and innovative batting skills. He is being talked about as one for the future and it remains to be seen whether Inglis can translate the potential into on-field performances.

Originally from Yorkshire, young Inglis represented the county for a few seasons at the age-group level before shifting base to Perth with his parents. It didn't take long for him to showcase his skills in Australia and soon found himself in the mix at Western Australia. It wasn't until the team's first choice wicketkeeper Sam Whiteman got injured that Inglis became a regular starter and he has filled in seamlessly with his keeping being hailed in a big way.

The Australian wicketkeeper batsman slot has been a lottery of sorts since Brad Haddin's retirement and there are quite a few young talents at present who are all competing for that spot. Inglis' name is right up there among the other candidates and with the kind of talent he has at such a young age, it's not hard to see why. The English-born Inglis will be determined to claw his way into the national setup that already blooded a young player of English origin in 2017 in the form of Matt Renshaw. The BBL will be an opportunity for Inglis to show his wares.
