That's it for today. Tune in tomorrow for Chepauk Super Gillies vs IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans. Until then, goodbye

Ravichandran Ashwin | Dindigul captain: We have a young team, plenty of talent. It's important to mix it (youngsters and experienced players) well. Shivam scored in the powerplay, there was a partnership after that and we sealed the game there. There's a bit of jet lag but it was fun to play with the boys. (On challenging an already reviewed decision) DRS is new in the tournament. There was a spike just before the ball passed the bat. I was not quite happy, I thought they'd see with a different angle.

Ganga Sridhar Raju | Trichy captain: Disappointed with the loss. We lost too many wickets in the powerplay and that's where we lost the powerplay. Rajkumar fought back well but even I fell at the wrong time. We have experienced bowlers. We were 30-40 runs short but we went into the second innings with the belief.

Varun Chakaravarthy | Player of the Match: I just focus on the process while bowling. I had to go fuller. We had a plan (for the hat-trick) but it didn't work out. The wickets he (Ashwin) took were crucial. Hopefully I'll be available.

Shivam Singh: It's good to be on the winning side. The boys are positive. Amazing to be part of the winning side in the first game. Roles for everyone were defined. He (Ashwin) is very calm and has made the environment chill. We are all enjoying it. Nattu bhai is a class bowler, it was swinging both ways. I knew if I could negotiate him, it'll be easier for me. We have one of the best bowling line-ups in the tournament. Having good bowlers is a blessing.

22:22 Local Time, 16:52 GMT, 22:22 IST: A walk in the park for Dindigul Dragons. Chasing a below-par total, Dindigul lost Vimal Khumar for a duck in the very first over. But his opening partner - Shivam Singh - took the attack to the Trichy bowlers. He was dropped on 13 and then punished the bowlers as the Dragons raced away to 61/1 in the powerplay. Shivam fell in the seventh over but he'd done the damage with a quickfire 46. Dindigul lost a couple of wickets in an attempt to chase it down quickly but they were never in trouble. Suboth Bhati hit a couple of sixes to wrap up the proceedings as Dindigul hunted down the total with 31 balls to spare. Earlier, Dindigul were excellent with the ball to restrict Trichy to 120. An all-round performance from Ashwin and Co. to kickstart their campaign with a win.
