Batting Performances

Luke Proctor's 52, Rob Keogh's 57, and a gallant lower-order 59 by Jack White helped Northamptonshire score 369 against Kent. However, this didn't prevent a crushing innings and 15-run defeat in the hands of Kent, who scored 621 in the first innings, courtesy a stunning triple hundred from Daniel Bell-Drummond.

Peter Handscomb's rearguard 136* helped Leicestershire save the match against Durham, who ended Day 4 at 259-8 chasing 440 in the final innings, in an innings where only two other batsmen crossed 30.

In yet another high-scoring draw, Worcestershire's Gareth Roderick scored a belligerent 123 as the hosts ended on 243-6 in their second innings, in response to their opponent Derbyshire's 578-5 declared.

Oliver Price's 113 got Gloucestershire to within hundred runs of Yorkshire's total, but the match ended in a tame draw in yet another high-scoring Division 2 encounter.

Chasing 339 for a win, Sussex's Henry Shipley (8*) and Oliver Carter (56*) held on for a last-wicket draw against Glamorgan, finishing at 273-9 on Day 4, bringing a riveting encounter to a stalemate.

Bowling Performances

Tom Bailey went on to complete his fifer - 5 for 48 - and alongside Will Williams' 4-23 (in addition to his second-innings 61) helped Lancashire bowl out Surrey for 84, to earn themselves a 123-run victory at the Kennington Oval, London.
