Ali Khan, now a US national, was born in Pakistan and grew up in the country before he migrated to the United States with his parents on the verge of adulthood. Having grown up playing street cricket in Pakistan, Ali took the sport with him into the States and continued to play in T20 events in the country, having started off with a Facebook plead to Maq Qureshi for an invite into a local tournament. His performances in the tournaments earned him the national recognition that he was searching for.

When the ICC made a move to take cricket forward in the United States with an open, it came as a blessing for Ali Khan and became his pathway into the big leagues. Spotted by Courtney Walsh in the open trials, he was immediately selected in the WICB 15-man squad for a tournament. With his ability to bowl yorkers at will and at considerable pace, and his ability to swing the new ball as well as the old, Ali Khan was recognized as an asset immediately and was drafted into the Caribbean Premier League in 2016.

His moment in the sun arrived when he dismissed Kumar Sangakkara off the first ball he bowled at him at the CPL for the Guyana Amazon Warriors. He continues to be a part of the CPL till date, and currently plays for the Trinbago Knight Riders franchise. In 2016, after getting his Green Card, Ali Khan was finally selected to play for the United States National cricket team in Division 4 and continues to be the spearhead of the attack. A bright future lies ahead for Ali Khan, who is still extremely young, as he aspires to take USA into the World Cup.
